Art trip to the Water Light Festival in Brixen

Attention light art enthusiasts! The Lichtstadt association offers joint art trips  to impressive festivals in Europe. This year, for the first time, we are offering friends of Lichtstadt Feldkirch an excursion to the sixth edition of the “Water Light Festival” in Brixen/Bressanone in South Tyrol. A qualified guide will provide exciting background information and our group can take a look behind the festival scenes. You are very welcome to take someone with you on the trip.

What is “Water Light Festival” Brixen?

Under the motto “Water is life – light is art”, an art trail is being created in Brixen’s old town. Local and international artists transform 48 water sites and cultural-historical treasures into an open-air gallery. The festival focuses on ecological, social and economic aspects in relation to the themes water and light. The installations combine creativity, visual illusions and lyrical elements and are intended to stimulate reflection. The city is experienced in a new way. Works by renowned artists, such as Brigitte Kowanz, can be admired.

Discover the oldest town in Tyrol with its cultural and historical attractions, picturesque alleyways and numerous cafés and bars and immerse yourself into the world of light art. The “Brixen Water Light Festival” takes place from April 24 to May 12, 2024 from 21:00-24:00 in the old town of Brixen and during the day in the Kloster Neustift. Friends of Lichtstadt Feldkirch  visit the festival together on a weekend.
